Ps. 20:2-3,4
In Virtute tua, Domine laetabitur justus: et super salutar tuum exsultabit vehementer: desiderium animae ejus tribuisti ei. Quoniam praeventisi eum in bendictionibus dulcedinis: posuisti in capite ejus coronam de lapide pretioso. Gloria Patri. In Virtute tua....   In Thy strength, O Lord, the just man shall joy and in Thy salvation he shall rejoice exceedingly: Thou hast given him his heart's desire. For Thou hast prevented him with blessing of sweetness: Thous hast set on his head a crown of precious stones. Glory be to the Father. In Thy strength...
O God, Who by the palm of martyrdom didst remove blessed Wenceslaus from an earthly princedom to the glory of heaven: keep us by his prayers from all adversity, and grant that we may rejoice in everlasting fellowship with him. Through our Lord.
Wis. 10:10-14
The Lord conducted the just, when he fled from his brother’s wrath, through the right ways, and shewed him the kingdom of God, and gave him the knowledge of the holy things, made him honourable in his labours, and accomplished his labours.  In the deceit of them that overreached him, she stood by him, and made him honourable. He kept him safe from his enemies, and he defended him from seducers, and gave him a strong conflict, that he might overcome, and know that wisdom is mightier than all.  He forsook not the just when he was sold, but delivered him from sinners: he went down with him into the pit. And in bands he left him not, till he brought him the sceptre of the kingdom, and power against those that oppressed him: and shewed them to be liars that had accused him, and gave him everlasting glory.
Ps. 111:1-2
Beatus vir qui timet Dominum in mandatis eius volet nimis potens in terra erit semen eius generatio rectorum benedicetur   Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord: he shall delight exceedingly in his commandments. His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the righteous shall be blessed.
Ps. 20:4
Alleluia, alleluia.  Posuisti, Domine, super caput ejus coronam de lapide pretioso Alleluia.   Alleluia, alleluia. O Lord, Thou hast set on his head a crown of precious stones. Alleluia.
Mt. 10:34-42
At that time, Jesus said to His disciples: Do not think that I came to send peace upon earth: I came not to send peace, but the sword. For I came to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And as a man's enemies shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me, is not worthy of me; and he that loveth son or daughter more than me, is not worthy of me.And he that taketh not up his cross, and followeth me, is not worthy of me.He that findeth his life, shall lose it: and he that shall lose his life for me, shall find it.He that receiveth you, receiveth me: and he that receiveth me, receiveth him that sent me.He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet, shall receive the reward of a prophet: and he that receiveth a just man in the name of a just man, shall receive the reward of a just man.And whosoever shall give to drink to one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, amen I say to you, he shall not lose his reward.
Ps. 8:6-7
Gloria et honore coronasti eum et constituisti eum super opera manuum tuarum   Thou hast crowned him with glory and honour:and hast set him over the works of thy hands.
Muneribus nostris, quaesumus, domine, precibusque susceptis: et coelestibus nos munda mysteriis et clementer exanudi Per Dominum nostrum. Receive our gifts and our prayers, we beseech Thee, O Lord; cleanse us by the heavenly mysteries and mercifully hear us. Though our Lord.
The Common Preface
Cum quibus et nostras voces ut admitti jubeas, deprecamur supplici confessione dicentes:      It it truly meet and just, right and for our salvation, that we should at all times, and in all places, give thanks to Thee, holy Lord, Father almighty, eternal God, through Christ our Lord: through Whom Angels praise Thy Majesty, Dominations worship, Powers stand in awe: the Heavens and the host of heaven with blessed Seraphim unite, exult and celebrate and we entreat that Thou wouldst bid our voices also to be heard with theirs, singing with lowly praise:
Mt. 16:24
Qui vult post me venire abneget semet ipsum et tollat crucem suam et sequatur me   If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Da, quaesumus, Domine Deus noster: ut, sicut tuorum commemoratione sanctorum temporali gratulamur officio; ita perpetuo laetemr aspectu. Per Dominum nostrum.   Grant, we beseech Thee, O Lord, our God: that as we rejoice on earth in keeping the memory of Thy saints, so also we may enjoy their company for evermore. Through our Lord.
