epistle
Ecclus 24:23-31
Ego quasi vitis fructificavi suavitatem odoris: et flores mei fructus honoris et honestatis. Ego mater puchrae dilectionis, et timoris, et agnitionis, et sanctae spei. In me gratia omnis viae et veritatis: in me omnis spes vitae et virtutis. Transite ad me omnes qui concupiscitis me et a generationibus meis implemini. Qui elucidant me vitam aeternam havebunt.   As the vine I have brought forth a pleasant odor, and my flowers are the fruit of honor and riches. I am the mother of fair love, and of fear, and of knowledge, and of holy hope. In me is all grace of the way and of the truth, in me is all hope of life and of virtue. Come over to me, all ye that desire me, and be filled with my frutis; for my spirit is sweet above honey, and my inheritance above honey and the honey-comb. My memory is unto everlasing generations. They that eat me, shall yet hunger: and they that drink me, shall yet thirst. He that heakeneth to me, shall not be confounded, and they that work by me, shall not sin. They that explain me, shall have life everlasting.

Ps. 12:6; 44:18
Exaltabit cor meum in salutari tuo: cantabo Domino qui bona tribuit mihi: et psallam Nomini Domini altissimi. Memores erunt nominis tui in omni generatione et generationem, propterea populi confitebuntur tibi in aeternum.   My heart shall rejoice in Thy salvation: I will sing to the Lord, Who giveth me good things: yea I will sing to the name of the Lord the most High. They shall remember Thy name throughout all generations. Therefore shall people praise thee for ever.
Alleluia
Lk. 1:46-47
Alleluia, alleluia.  Magnificat anima mea Dominum: et exsultavit spiritus meus in Deo salutari meo. Alleluia.   Alleluia, alleluia.  My soul doth magnify the Lord and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my savior. Alleluia.
gospel
Jn. 19:25-27
In illo tempore: Stabant juxta crucem Jesu mater ejus, et soror matirs ejus Maria Ckeophae, et Maria Magdalene. Cum vidisset ergo Jesus matrem, et dicipulum stantem, quem diligebat, dicit matri suae: Mulier, ecce filius tuus. Deinde dicit discipulo: Ecce mater tua. Et exilla hora accepit eam discipulus in sua.   At that time, there stood by the cross of Jesus, His Mother and His Mother's sister, Mary of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalen. When Jesus therefore had seen His Mother and teh disciple standing whom He loved, He saith to His Mother: Woman, behold thy son. After that He saith to the disciple: Behold thy Mother. And from that hour the disciple took her to his own.
offertory
Lk. 1:47,49
Exsultavit spiritus meus in Deo salutari meo: quia fecit mihi magna qui potens est et sanctum Nomen ejus.   My spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior: because He that is mighty hath done great things to me and holy is His Name.

Preface
Preface of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Cum quibus et nostras voces, ut admitti jubeas deprecamur, supplici confessione dicentes:   It it truly meet and just, right and for our salvation, that we should at all times, and in all places, give thanks unto Thee, O holy Lord, Father almighty, everlasting God: and that we should praise and bless, and proclaim Thee, in the Festivity of the Blessed Mary, ever-Virgin: Who also conceived Thine only-begotten Son by the overshadowing of the Holy Ghost, and the glory of her virginity still abiding, gave forth to the world the everlasting Light, Jesus Christ our Lord. Through whom the Angels praise Thy Majesty, the Dominations worship it, and the Powers stand in awe. The Heavens and the heavenly hosts together with the blessed Seraphim in triumphant chorus unite to celebrate it. Together with these we entreat Thee that Thou mayest bid our voices also to be admitted while we say with lowly praise:

Jn. 19:26,27
Dilexisti justitiam, et odisti iniquitatem:  et odisti iniquitatem: propterea unxit te Deus, Deus tuus, oleo laetitiae prae consortibus tuis.   Thou hast loved justice and hated iniquity: therefore God, thy God, hat anointed thee with the oil of gladness above they fellows.
