The Four Crowned Martyrs

Red   3rd Class
Ps. 78:11,12,10,1

Intret in conspectu tuo, Domine, gemitus compeditorum: redde vicinis nostris septuplum in sinu eorum: vindica sanguinem sanctorum tuorum qui effesus est. Deus, venerunt gentes in hereditatem tuam; polluerunt templum sanctum tuum: posuierunt Jerusalem in pomorum custodiam. Gloria in Patri. Intret in conspectu...

Let the sighing of the prisoners come in before thee, O Lord; render to our neighbors sevenfold in their bosom revenging the blood of thy saints, which hath been shed. (Psalm) O God, the heathens are come into thy inheritance, they have defiled thy holy temple: they have made Jerusalem as a place to keep fruit. Glory be to the Father. Let the sighing...

Prassta, quaesumus, omnipotens Deus: ut, qui gloriosos Martyres fortes in sua confessione cognovimus, pios apudte in nostra intercessione sentiamus. Per Dominum nostrum.

Grant, we beseech Thee, almighty God, that we who acknowledge the steadfastness of Thy glorious Martyrs in confessing Thy name may feel their loving intercession for us with Thee. Through our Lord.
Heb. 11:33-39

Brethren, the saints through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought justice, obtained promises, stopped the mouth of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of sword, recovered strength from weakness, became valiant in battle, put to fight the armies of foreigners: women received their dead raised to life again: but others were racked, not accepting deliverance, that they might find a better resurrection; and others had trial of mockeries and stripes, moreover also of bands and prisons: they were stoned, they were cut asunder, they were tempted, they were put to death by the sword, they wandered about in sheepskins, in goat-skins, being in want, distressed, afflicted, of whom the world was not worthy; wandering in deserts, in mountains, and in dens and in caves of the earth. And all these were found approved by the testimony of faith, in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Ex. 15:11,6
Gloriosus Deus in sanctis suis: mirabilis in majestate, faciens prodigia. Dextera tua, Domine, glorificata est in virute: dextera manus tua confregit inimicos.   Glorious is God in His Saints, marvelous in majesty, doing wonders. Thy right hand, O Lord, is magnified in strength: Thy right hand hath slain the enemy.
Ecclus 44:14
Alleluia, alleluia. Alleluia.   Alleluia, alleluia. The bodies of the Saints are buried in place, and their name liveth unto generation and generation. Alleluia.
Ps. 125:5-7
Qui seminant in lacrimis, in gaudio metent. Euntes ibant et flebant, mittentes semina sua. Veniente autem venient cem exultatione, portantes manipulos suos.   They that sow in tears sahll recap in joy. Going, they went and wept, casting thier seeds. But, coming, they shall come with joyfulness, carrying their sheaves.
Mt. 5:1-12
Nolite ergo timere miltis passeribus pluris estis vos. Dico autem vobisL omnis quicumque confessus fuerit me coram hominibus, et Filius hominis confitebitur illum coram Angelis Dei.   At that time, Jesus siad to His disciples: Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. For there is nothing covered that shall not be revealed: nor hidden that shall not be known. For whatsoever things you have spoken in darkness shall be published in the light: and that which you have spoken in the ear in the chambers shall be preached on the housetops. And I say to you, My friends: Be not afraid of them who kill the body and after that have no more that they can do. But I will show you Whom you shall fear: Fear ye Him Who, after He hath killed, hath power to cast into hell. Yea, I say to you Fear Him. Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? Yea, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: you are of more value than many sparrows. And I say to you: whosoever shall confess Me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the Angels of God.
Ps. 67:36
Mirabilis Deus in sanctis suis: Deus Israel, ipse dabit virtuem et fortitudinem plebi suae: benedictus Deus, alleluia   God is wonderful in His Saints; the God of Israel is He who will give power and strength to His people: blessed be God, alleluia
Benedictio tuae Domine, larga descendat: qua et munera nostra, deprecantibus sanctic Martyribus tuis, tibi reddat accpeta, et nobis sacramentum redemptionis efficiat. Per Dominum nostrum. Thy bountiful blessing come down on us, O Lord, through the prayers of Thy holy Martyrs; may it render our gifts well-pleasing to Thee, and make them an effectual means of our redemption. Through our Lord.
The Common Preface
Cum quibus et nostras voces ut admitti jubeas, deprecamur supplici confessione dicentes:      It it truly meet and just, right and for our salvation, that we should at all times, and in all places, give thanks to Thee, holy Lord, Father almighty, eternal God, through Christ our Lord: through Whom Angels praise Thy Majesty, Dominations worship, Powers stand in awe: the Heavens and the host of heaven with blessed Seraphim unite, exult and celebrate and we entreat that Thou wouldst bid our voices also to be heard with theirs, singing with lowly praise:
Wis. 3:4,5,6
And though in the sight of men they suffered torments, God hath tried them: as gold in the furnace He hath proved them, and as a victim of a holocaust He hath received them.
Coelestibus refecti sacramentis et gaudiis: supplices te rogamus, Domine: ut, quorum gloriamur triumphis protegamur trimphis protegamur auxiliis. Per Dominum nostrum.   Refreshed with Thy heavenly Sacraments and joys, we humbly beseech Thee, O Lord, that we may be protected by the help of those in whose triumph we glory. Through our Lord.
